Years ago, Mr. Patrick left Nigeria in search of greener pastures abroad. The journey was tough, humbling, and life-changing. Within his first year away, he faced the unimaginable — the loss of both parents, months apart. He could not return home to lay them to rest. One heartbreak after another, yet he kept pushing forward with the strength he didn’t even know he had.

In the midst of grief and survival, he found one constant that reminded him of home: food. The aroma of well-seasoned grilled meat, the comfort of home-style cooking, the communal bond of sharing a meal — these became his therapy, his connection, his inspiration.

From small gatherings to cooking for friends abroad, his love for authentic Nigerian flavors continued to grow. The fire of the suya stand, the richness of grilled fish, the warmth of community — these memories traveled with him everywhere.
